Multi-agency report highlights increasing signs and impacts of climate change in atmosphere, land and oceans
The tell-tale physical signs of climate change such as increasing land and ocean heat, accelerating sea level rise and melting ice are highlighted in a new report compiled by the World Meteorological Organization and an extensive network of partners, including UNDRR, UNEP and WHO.
Review of progress on Sendai targets
Participants from 35 countries met in Bonn to review the progress to date on the implementation and use of the Sendai Framework Monitor which allows countries to report on the achievements of the seven targets of the Sendai Framework, the global plan to reduce disaster losses by 2030. The Sendai Framework was adopted in Japan in 2015.
